SureMold Polyurethane Foam A side is shown being poured from a 5 gallon container into "popcorn style" mixing tub, preparing to pour the middle section of Harold, The Mountain Sheep. Note: dark color, low viscosity appearance.
SureMold Polyurethane Foam polyurethane foam A side is shown being poured from 5 gallon container into "Popcorn style" mixing tub, prior to mixing Part A and Part B together to mix and then pour the middle part of Harold The Mountain Sheep. Note: light color higher viscosity appearance.
Suremold Polyurethane Foam A side is shown being poured quickly into the B side as mixing begins for 12-15 seconds at 900 RPM with long attachment on a drill.

The long mixing attachment will be quickly placed into a bucket of solvent just outside the door. while the mixed product is quickly poured into the middle section of the fiberglass sheep mold.

The mold opening for pouring Harold the Sheep's middle section is quickly closed and bolted with two washers per nut and tightened down. The small vent hole (about the size of a cigar) in the top of the leg has small rolled paper towel now placed in it to be blown out in case of excess foam...and now we wait

Important - 15 seconds to mix and 15 seconds to pour and lock up the mold is 30 seconds total app. time until Suremold foam has expanded through it's thixotropic process to fill the mold. It takes two sets of hands to accomplish the mixing, pouring and closing up the mold in 30 seconds (one half minute).

After Harold's middle section has cured for 24 hours, the fiberglass mold is unbolted and the fully cured foam section is pulled out of the mold and trimmed. The mold meanwhile, is re-waxed with high quality paste wax for the next re-use of the mold section.

Overflow or spillage on the exterior of the mold if any, was removed by hand after it became tack free, was still warm and easily removable by hand. Overflow or spillage area on the exterior of the mold can then be wiped off with solvent after product is removed and waxed just like the interior of the mold.

Here is Harold The Mountain Sheep - seen as a final assembled archery target, taxidermy model, trade Show booth attraction or garage pet!
